Thank you for checking out this website. I would like to give you a brief introduction to myself and tell you more about this project. 



My name is Richard and I am a 27 year old self-confessed 'crochet-a-holic' I as taught from the age of three by my Great Grandmother and have never put my hook down since.



I decided to set up this project after a friend of mine from the States told me about a non profit organisation had been set up in order to help people in need. The idea is that anyone who can crochet or knit the basics can join in. If you can then please read on! 



Think bout all the bits of yarn you have lying around the house! How about we put them to good use???? Lets all make small motifs (any shape or size) and attach them together to make blankets and afghans. 



If you have a spare half hour then crochet a square or a circle or a flower or anything you want, send them to me and ill make them into blankets to donate to people who could really use them such as nursing homes, cancer hospices, hospital, maternity wards and so on. 



Colour, shape and size is not important......I will work out the logistics of making them into a blanket when they arrive.
